Gunk and Goo

Blog slackness appears to be an emerging theme of late. At present I am reeling from the effects of heavy cold/flu thing that has left me with buckets of snot and an ear infection. I am also on heavy duty antibiotics and this is having interesting side effects. One is that they are leaving an unpleasant taste in my mouth several hours after I have taken them. Another, more interesting one is mild hallucinations, which involves brief blurring of lights/bright colours, rather trippy. Apparently I "will be sick", according to the chemist and doctor, woo!

Aside from that, went to Aber the weekend before last, and had a particularly good time on Sunday when Dan, Liz and I went for a drive to Artists Valley (Cwm Einon) (pics hyah), which was really scenic and rustic, there were shaging sheep and everything. Then went back via Nant-y-moch which was really atmospheric as it got dark within about 5 minutes of getting there, like something out of Lord of the Rings or something. Really cool.

Haven't got anything interesting planned for the forseeable future, most of the time shall be spent not spending money as I'm still skint after paying for the new car. Ah yes, I got the new car. It's ace, to sum up. Got a suprising array of gadgets for a "budget" car and it's quicker and handles better than the polo too, which the roads to aber certainly give a good testing ground for. The only thing I will say is it sometimes seems a bit sluggish pulling off, but that may be because it's not fully run in yet. Time will tell, but the ultimate in laziness is the automatic headlights and wipers, which add to the luxury experience. Oh and the aircon. I'll never have a car without aircon again, mark my words *uberponce*
