Great Britons winner: Sir Winston Churchill.

Well hurrah for Winnie. Faith in the British public slightly restored after the forehead-slapping lunacy of "Princess" Diana being even included in the top 10, let alone the top 100. Still such is the nature of the public that someone still fresh in the minds of ther public would be more admired than someone who died 50, 100 or 500 years ago. I'm sure there were "Great Britons" going back thousands of years but since nobody remembers them, they are irrelevant. Anyway, good choice with Winnie, certainly Great and I can't think of anyone who is more of an archetypal Briton. Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few. Aye.
