Gor blimey lummocks. London on terror alert eh? Can't say I'm very terrified, or alert for that matter. Just the usual soul-crushing boredom, coupled with the nagging worry that I can't afford anything. I do so detest money, it would be a vast improvement if we did away with the whole thing and turned into a nation of tree-hugging pacifist hippahs. Today at work I have taken several calls from various arty types, wishing to book the main hall for arty goings on, you know, singing, clapping, flapping around on the floor type arrangement.

The boss is off today, and I am taking all her calls. This makes things marginally more interesting. Marginally, I say, as it still means I am staring at the walls for 75% of the time. Most annoying, as when one is sitting in a converted toilet of an office, with no company all day, one reaches the stage of boredom when it actually becomes very difficult to motivate oneself to complete the essential tasks that do come up. I'm sure there's a scientific term for that.

On to the new flat. Very pleased with it indeed, particularly with the king-sized bed I have. Very comfy, firm, and large. Now, set me up the girl to test it properly with, aye. Seriously though, it's very nice and the only downer is that I had to buy new sheets cos the old ones were too small. Bought myself a nice new desk from Ikea, in dark blue, which I thought was unusual, and a new bin from Ikea, in orange. Practical. Kitchen is generally good, main downers being electric hobs (rubbish), and NO DRAWERS. AT ALL. Now where am I supposed to put my cutlery, and the "kitchen draw" full of miscellaneous junk like scissors and sellotape will have to be located elsewhere. Irritating. The living room is very spacious with a huge window across the front, and as we are on the second floor there is quite the view, unfortunately we don't have a window key so there is no possiblility of opening the front windows, bah. Anyway, boss hyaah.

UPDATE: I got the windows open by borrowing a window key from another flat. Now we have air in the living room! W00t.
