Music slump 'not caused by piracy'
Claims BBC. Nice to see a bit of consistancy eh? Personally, I think free music file sharing is a good thing , not that I would ever condone the illegal sharing of music. From my own personal experience, most of my cd purchases have resulted from the retrieval of a track, thinking it was good, then going out and buying the cd. Which I wouldn not have done if I did not have access to the aforementioned track. Which of course I didn't because that would be illegal. This new fangled pirate protection stuff on cds is bollocks too. Mate of mine bought Starwars Episode II soundtrack, only to find it wouldn't play on his PC, which is where he plays most of his music. So he took it back to the shop, got a refund, and downloaded it instead. Good shot sirs.
