Hype
I went to Fabric last night, it was nice. Young Chadder drove us there and back, which resulted in only one near death experience, unless you count driving around in a souped up Fiesta in the roughest of Hackney's rough neighbourhood estates a near death experience, which I suppose if I had been nearing my full compliment of sleep I would have. Oh and parking a billion miles away and walking through the Barbican. The club itself was awesome, with a full room of drum n bass, a full room of hard dance and apparently a full room of hip hop which we didn't go near. I often wonder what a room full of Hip-Hop would look like, a bunch of badly aligned headwear I suppose. I'll find out next time. Mat pulled, he looked like someone had given him a prostrate examination. I didn't pull, but sat next to Lionel Ritchie who skinned up an enormous phat buoy which was excellent and two chavver kids took a load of e then passed out on the other sofa. The things you see when recovering beneath an airconditioning duct eh. The toilets were unisex and the boys had to walk behind a cubist sculpture in order to pee in a urinal, which was nice. Seven people offered me pills and five people said I was a top notch geezer for going to Fabric on crutches. What else was I supposed to do, go home at a reasonable hour and tidy the garden?
In other news I have resigned from my job, and Pirates of the Caribbean II was superb. Seeing The Goonies beforehand on the Big Screen was even more superb though, we love the One Eyed Willy!
