I've been to Canadia
It was wicked. Massive thanks to Shar for not having a heart attack when I nearly got us wiped out in Montreal. My favourite bits were the massively exuberant Arc Hotel in Ottawa, where we raided the minibar to the tune of 50 quid, and the awesome cheese of the Niagara Falls. Never in the history of man has so much cheese been concentrated in a single street. It was awe-striking. The falls themselves were quite impressive too. Driving wasn't too bad (apart from Montreal in the build-up to a hockey game), generally it wasn't too weird driving on the wrong side of the road after a couple of hours. I got addicted to Tim Horton's French Vanilla Cappucino (more like latte actually), and put on about 20lbs in weight. I also bought a "my other Jesus is a camero" tshirt which nobody in england understands. Which only adds to the appeal in my view. Slightly disappointed to have not seen any Mounties, Moose or Beaver, but then again we tended to stick to the domesticated areas. I also wrote a load of postcards and didn't get around to sending them. As usual. Photos coming soon sometime after I photoshop out the massive black blob on most of my photos from the bit of dust on the sensor that I didn't notice till the last afternoon.
I've got to be in the office by 8am tomorrow though, argh. Which reminds me, I absolutely *have* to record the announcer woman in the morning at the station, and post it here. She almost makes it worth getting up in the mornings. Seriously.
